Practical legal support for companies doing business with German partners: commercial contracts, distribution arrangements, unpaid invoices and cross-border disputes.
When to contact us
- You are negotiating a supply or distribution agreement with a German company.
- Your German customer has not paid or raises quality objections.
- You need to change a distribution relationship or protect development results.
- You need advice on jurisdiction, contractual remedies or enforcement involving Germany.
Advice focused on your business decision
Commercial and supply contracts
We review the scope of supply, payment terms, delivery conditions, acceptance, liability and termination. Depending on the agreed scope, the work product may include a risk assessment, a marked-up contract and negotiation proposals.
Distribution and termination
We assess the contractual model, termination requirements and possible financial consequences. A transition plan may address customers, inventory, outstanding orders and the use of brands and business information.
Unpaid invoices and disputes
We review the claim, supporting evidence and the appropriate route to recovery. Jurisdiction and the location of assets are considered alongside the merits. A judgment does not itself guarantee payment.
Development, licences and know-how
We help align development milestones with rights to use, modify and commercialise the results. Existing rights, third-party components and arrangements on termination require particular attention.
How an engagement starts
- Send the names of the parties, a short description of the issue and any known deadlines.
- We check potential conflicts and agree the scope, document requirements and fees.
- After accepting the engagement, we assess the available information and agree next steps.
- Where foreign law is relevant, involvement of local counsel may be necessary. Its scope and costs must be agreed.
Documents to prepare
Please collect the contract and all annexes, incorporated terms, relevant correspondence and a short chronology. For a payment claim, add invoices, delivery or acceptance records and any objections. Send sensitive materials using a transmission method agreed with the firm.
Language, fees and deadlines
Please tell us your preferred working language and the language of your documents. Translation needs and the language of any proceedings are considered separately. Fees and external costs depend on the agreed work. No deadline is assumed and no mandate is accepted merely because an enquiry has been sent.
